Art therapy uses creative expression — like drawing, painting and mark making — to help people explore and express emotions and process experiences and trauma. Practised by qualified clinicians, it offers a safe, supportive space for individuals to show expression, especially those who find it hard to convey feeling and experiences with words. Art therapy is understood to support mental health, trauma recovery and personal growth.

Inner Expressions Art Therapy is a safe, welcoming space where creativity becomes a tool.

 

You don’t need to be “good at art” to benefit from this process - it is about expression, not perfection. In your session, you’ll be guided to explore expression through painting, drawing, collage and other creative methods.

Every session moves at an intuitive pace. You choose how much you want to share verbally, while the art-making process offers another way to communicate and process.

 

Together, we’ll create a supportive environment where you can experiment, process and express.

FAQ

How long does the group term go for?

Our six week term package is facilitated in a group environment and runs across six consecutive Friday afternoons. Multiple terms are available throughout the year, if you can't see a package starting soon - reach out and we'll let you know when the next one is set to begin.

Can't make it to your group class?

That's okay, we totally understand that things come up. If you are unable to make your booked group session we are happy to accomodate you in a make-up booking. Simply send us an email and we'll work it out!

Are the art supplies provided?

Yes! Everything you need for the session will be supplied by your clinician if attending in-person. If attending online sessions you'll notice a reduced price, this is to allow clients the funds to source their own materials.

Where are sessions held??

Individual sessions are held at our Maple Street Studio - Cabin 1, 38 Maple Street, Maleny and our group sessions are held at our Studio - 3/43 Maple Street, Maleny.
